Refund & Billing Policy

This policy explains how subscriptions, billing, cancellation, and refunds work for TheScentStyler (the "Service"), operated by Blueprint AI Strategy LLC. It supplements our Terms of Service.
1. Subscription tiers and billing
The Service offers a Free tier and paid tiers (Muse and Collector). Paid tiers are billed on a recurring monthly basis through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us, via Stripe, to charge your payment method each month until you cancel.
2. Auto-renewal
Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the start of each new monthly billing period at the then-current price for your tier, unless you cancel before the renewal date.
3. Cancellation and what happens to your data
You can cancel anytime through the billing portal available in your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep paid features until then, and you are not charged again.
When a paid subscription ends, your account returns to the Free tier. Importantly:
- Your data is not deleted. Your collection and journal entries remain in your account.
- Items beyond the Free tier's limit are preserved but locked. If your collection exceeds the Free tier's cap, the excess items are retained in a read-only ("grace") state rather than removed. They become fully editable again if you resubscribe.
- Paid features stop. AI features and other tier-gated capabilities are turned off when the subscription ends.
4. Refunds
Payments are non-refundable, including for partial billing periods after a cancellation. When you cancel, you retain access to paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for. We may grant refunds at our discretion, or where required by law.
5. EU/UK consumers — right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a purchase of digital services. Because the Service gives you immediate access to paid digital features as soon as you subscribe, you will be asked at checkout to expressly consent to immediate performance and to acknowledge that, once the service has been fully performed, you lose the right of withdrawal. 6. Failed or past-due payments
If a renewal payment fails, your access may be limited while the payment is past due. We (via Stripe) may retry the charge. If payment is not completed, the subscription will lapse to the Free tier as described in Section 3.
7. Price changes
We may change subscription prices. Any change will apply to your subscription only after notice and from a following billing period; your current period is charged at the price in effect when it began.
